The Lift Shift of Leadership
While traditional leadership models require relationships based on positions, Servant Leadership flips the model to one of roles evolving from relationships. In embracing these three foundational concepts, leaders create a participatory system of cooperation in which each person willingly contributes according to their gifts and passions. This system lends to commitment, mutual growth, and the legacy of the group as a whole.

Standing Out as an Average Joe (or Jane)
While so many perceived paths to success seem to require an individual stand out as extraordinary, many potential leaders struggle to identify their unique traits or experiences that might provide recognition. They perceive their status as ‘just average’ as a limiting factor to their success. I am 6 feet, seven inches tall (yeah, yeah, I know the meme). While my height is often the first thing people notice about me, I perceive it as normal even though it has provided a perspective unique to me. My experiences as, apparently, a tall person are the base illustrations for this conversation. This presentation works to help individuals realize that our own perception is often our biggest limiting factor, that each of us has unique and valuable traits and experiences, and that each of us has an opportunity to make a difference.
