Have you ever watched a pendulum swing? Back and forth, each swing a little closer to center. Yeah, that’s my adult life. With a degree in education and administration and 5 years of teaching experience in the church, I found my way to selling real estate. I began teaching continuing education and pre-license classes, then found my way to homebuyer and financial literacy education. Moving back to real estate, I was operations coordinator and then responsible broker while still teaching continuing education. And now, here I am, focusing primarily on teaching and still in the real estate world, pretty close to my center.
What does all of that mean? I think it gives me a very well-rounded background - a degree and experience in classroom education, time in sales and management of a real estate brokerage, and time teaching from the consumer’s perspective. That all colors the training that I do through Prepare. I hope that it provides a broad, inclusive learning experience that prepares you to serve your people.
Aside from teaching, I find myself staying involved with my kids’ activities, MLS committee and Realtor association state director, youth ministry and our church praise team, Scouts, and board of directors for Levo Credit Union.
